Meet Chris Chapman

Chris ChapmanChris Chapman joined the Advancement Foundation of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth team in August of 2021.

As senior director of development for the foundation, Chris has extensive experience listening and connecting a financial supporter with a project or passion that they would like to create or augment with their resources.

Chris recognizes that there are many avenues to explore while considering making a gift. Some vehicles to consider include cash, appreciated securities, estate plans, gifts of stock, IRA or retirement plan assets and donor advised funds. Chris is always happy to discuss any of these options and assist in determining what might be the best option for each donor to consider.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Chris worked in both the California and Texas Legislatures, in higher education development and engagement, and continues to be active in his community. He recently served as president of the Greater Dallas Pachyderm Club, president of the Hunter’s Ridge Home Owner’s Association and as chairman of the Hackberry Creek Country Club Board of Governors.

Chris is a graduate of Texas Tech University and a native of West Texas. Growing up in Plainview helped shape and instill upon Chris the value of the founding American principles of passion and service to others.

Chris is married to Jessica Chapman and they are the proud parents of Justine who is studying for her masters degree in art in Aix en Provence, France, and Jacob who is a rising senior at Tarleton State University.

Chris and his wife Jessica are building a home in Denton and soon will be parishioners of St. Mark’s. Chris enjoys serving as a member of both the Texas Tech Alumni Association National Board of Directors and the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Texas Tech University College of Arts and Sciences.

In their free time, Chris and Jessica enjoy watching college football, leisurely drives along the Pacific Coast Highway and enjoying their time golfing together.
